The Pella Area Community & Economic Alliance (PACE Alliance) will honor five Pella Impact Award recipients at their Annual Membership Breakfast on Friday, Feb. 28.
Recipients were selected for their overall impact on the quality of life in Pella, collaboration/partnerships, innovative programs or events, products or marketing, entrepreneurial spirit, impact to the local economy and longevity of impact on the community.
This year’s recipients are Iowa Bike Co. for the Business Impact Award; Michelle Gritters and Central College for the Pella Spotlight Award; Pella Corporation and the Shareholder Family for the Community Impact Award; and also within the Community Impact category is the Heritage Award, presented to the Historic Pella Trust.
Learn more about the impact these award recipients have on the community at the PACE Alliance Annual Membership Breakfast on Feb. 28 from 7-8:30 a.m. at the Central College Graham Conference Center. In addition to honoring the award recipients, the morning breakfast program will also celebrate accomplishments of the past year and look ahead to the priorities of the five PACE Alliance Councils in 2020. Each year, the PACE Alliance receives nominations from its members and the general public for businesses and individuals who have made a positive impact on the community. The selection committee, consisting of the five chairpersons from the PACE Alliance Councils and the president of the board of directors, review nominations and select recipients.
