Lely International and Lely North America are pleased to announce that Chad Huyser has been named Regional Director of Lely International and President of Lely North America. Huyser will lead all of Lely’s North American efforts and serve as one of five Lely Regional Directors worldwide.
“Lely North America’s record of success has created the opportunity for Chad in this broader role,” said Chief Commercial Officer Gijs Scholman. “As the dairy industry rapidly grows and accelerates toward adoption of robotics, automation and data/technology, Lely continues to align strategic objectives and our organization centered on delivering value to our Lely Center partners and dairy producers around the world. It is with this in mind that we are pleased to announce this key leadership change.”
Lely North America, based in Pella, is part of the Lely Group, founded in 1948. The company directs all effort toward creating a sustainable, profitable and enjoyable future in farming for its customers. Using the cow as a center point, the company develops premium robotics and data systems that increase animal welfare, flexibility and production on dairy farms.
Huyser joined the company in 2007 as Director of Sales and Operations and most recently held the position of Vice President for Lely North America. Huyser brings more than 23 years of agriculture equipment manufacturing, finance, operations and sales/marketing experience to this leadership role. During his 13 years, Huyser has led and strategically supported all areas of the business, including the construction of the company’s first North American headquarters and manufacturing facility in 2012 and again in 2019 as the company announced plans to construct an entirely new facility in Pella.
“We have high expectations for the North American market and plans that will require all members of our company to take on even larger responsibilities,” said Huyser. “With that, we are very fortunate within Lely to have strong leaders and team members with a collective passion for dairy and livestock producers worldwide. This passion, combined with the expertise and knowledge of the dairy industry and application of technology, will continue to be invaluable as we look forward to delivering on Lely’s vision of creating a sustainable, profitable and enjoyable future in farming for dairy producers across North America.”
For more than 25 years, the company has been the leader in the sale and service of automated milking systems to successive generations of dairy farmers across the globe. With its head office in The Netherlands and a worldwide network of dedicated Lely Center locations for tailor-made sales and support, the Lely Group is active in more than 40 countries and employs around 1,500 people.
