The Pella Public Library is introducing a new “Conversations in Spanish” program beginning June 4.

Native and non-native Spanish speakers are invited to gather for casual conversation in Spanish. This is for individuals who have at least a basic to intermediate understanding of the Spanish language with the goal of promoting learning through conversation.

There is no curriculum or classroom-style learning involved. The public is invited to come practice speaking about food, family, flowers and more.

Currently scheduled dates are Tuesday, June 4 at 7 p.m.; Monday, June 17 at 11 a.m.; Tuesday, July 9 at 7 p.m. and Monday, July 22 at 11 a.m.

Conversations in Spanish gatherings are free and open to the public and will be held in the Pella Library’s Meeting Room. Please contact the library at 641-628-4268 for questions about this and other library programs.
