GLENDALE, AZ. — Paige Blom, O.D., of Reasnor, has completed the Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree at the Arizona College of Optometry of Midwestern University.

An official graduation ceremony and conferring of degrees took place on the university’s campus in Glendale, Arizona, on May 30th.

Dr. Blom is the daughter of Reasnor residents Rick and Susan Blom. She graduated from Pella Christian High School in 2011, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wartburg College in 2015. While at Midwestern, she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society and represented the college in the Clarion Competition in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After graduation from Midwestern, she plans to practice optometry in Surprise, Arizona.

The college graduated its inaugural class in spring 2013. Through face-to-face instruction and early clinical settings, the four-year professional curriculum helps prepare optometrists to provide exemplary patient care, serve the vision health and eye care needs of the public, and improve the well-being of society, including our aging population and underserved areas.
