There are several upcoming events at Lake Red Rock. All programs are free of charge. Outdoor activities may be canceled if raining.

— Roberts Creek Paddling Tour on Friday, June 14 at Whitebreast Campground, 6-8 p.m. (must be 16-plus years old, pre-registration required).

Enjoy a leisurely paddle around a portion of Roberts Creek and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature! Bring your own kayak or borrow one from the Corps for the activity. Call the Corps office at 641-828-7522 for details.

— Woodland Walk on Saturday, June 15 at North Overlook Picnic, 9 a.m.

Take a closer look at the wonderful sights of the forest by going on a quiet walk along a nature trail and exploring the area's flora and fauna.

— Meet Bobber the Water Safety Dog on Saturday, June 15 at North Overlook Beach, 2 p.m.

Bobber is a fun loving pup that likes to meet new people and help them learn how to be safe around the water. Come meet him and pick up some great safety tips.

— Live Snakes on Saturday, June 15 at the Visitor Center, 3 p.m.

Like snakes? Get an up-close look at some of these slithery, scaly reptiles that call the lake area home. You might even get the chance to hold one of them.
