PACE Alliance raises $2500 for Pella Community Ambulance at annual Golf Outing

The PACE Alliance held its annual Golf Outing on Aug. 23, raising $2,500 for the Pella Community Ambulance.

Golf Committee Chairs Tim Te Grootenhuis and Vicki Cowman, along with committee members Ali Muller-Heit, Jay Davis, Angela Arkema and Sarah Treft, once again organized this year’s golf outing with an extra purpose in mind – to give back to those who protect the safety of our businesses and citizens.

Golfers and sponsors raised $2500 to assist in the purchase of full body mattress and a pediatric restraint system. The Pella Community Ambulance will use the mattress for a more comfortable bed top for patients to be transported on, and the pediatric system will immobilize children when needed during transport for their safety.

“The Pella Community Ambulance is there for businesses, employees and the community when accidents or terrible events happen,” said Te Grootenhuis. “Assisting ambulance staff and volunteers with equipment that can keep patients comfortable and safe was a way we could say thank you for all that they do for the community.”

This event brought together 110 members/golfers, 20 sponsors, 31 volunteers and members of the Central Golf Team for a great day of business on the golf course while raising money for the Pella Community Ambulance, as well as dollars to support the activities of the PACE Alliance.
