Pella and Norwalk were locked up in a battle to remain in the thick of the Little Hawkeye Conference Basketball race.
The Pella Lady Dutch, playing at home, prevailed over the Warriors 48-45.
Pella improved to 8-4 overall and 5-2 in the league with the victory.
Norwalk slipped to 7-7 for the season and to 4-3 in the LHC.
Bailey Vande Weerd had 13 points for the Dutch while Regan Cooper chipped in 12 from near the basket.
Norwalk was led by Hali Van Velzen who had 14 points and Dana Billingsley with nine.
The game was tied at 21 all at the halftime break and again at 41-41 at the end of regulation.
The loss was the third in a row for the Warriors, who previous to the skid had won six straight games.
Odds and Ends
It proved to be a game the Dutch won at the foul line.
Pella hit 11-of-22 free throws. Norwalk was 5-of-10 at the charity stripe.
The win by Pella completed a two-game regular season sweep of the Warriors. Pella won back on Dec. 6, by five points.
