South East Aquatics (formerly known as Pella Swim Club) had five swimmers chosen to represent Team Iowa at the Midwest All Star Swim Meet.
Swimmers submitting the top times in the state are invited to join Team Iowa. The all atar meet was held January 13-15 in Elk Horn, Nebraska.
The five teams at the competition included Colorado Swimming, Midwestern Swimming, South Dakota Zone Team, Team Minnesota and Team Iowa.
The five SEA swimmers participated in 14 individual events along with relays. In each of the individual events, the swimmer swam a personal best. Nathan Pollard swam in four individual events and on two relays.
Nathan finished 4th in the 50 yard Breast with a time of 34.77. He also swam in the 50 Free at 27.85, the 100 Breast at 1:17.11 and the 100 IM at 1:10.13.
Luka DeJong participated in two individual events. Luka finished 9th in the 50 Breast with a time of 37.13. He also swam the 100 Breast in the time of 1:20.77.
Kolton DeJong participated in three individual events and on one relay. Kolton was 6th in the 100 Breast at 1:22.89 and finished 6th in the 50 Breast with a time of 38.92.
He also swam the 100 IM in a time of 1:18.41.
Hannah Nedder swam in two individual events and on one relay. Hannah finished 10th in the 50 Fly with a time of 28.44 and 11th in the 100 Fly at 1:05.03.
Emma Eekhoff participated in three individual events and on one relay team. She finished 12th in the 100 Fly with a time of 1:31.06. Emma also completed the 200 Free in the time of 2:44.68 and the 50 Free at 32.48.
The swimmers were credited for a great job representing SEA and Team Iowa, as well as their communities of Knoxville, Pella, and Pleasantville.
