Dutch blank MP Panthers 10-0 in Regional 2A soccer action

The Pella High Lady Dutch opened tournament play with a solid 10-0 win over the Mount Pleasant Panthers Wednesday, May 29 at home.

Pella passed the opening test of the post season with a solid 10-0 win over the Panthers.

The Dutch nearly dominated time of possession in a match that was called after the 10-0 lead 23:49 into half number two,

Pella had 23 shots on goal and 12 corner kicks. The Panthers had no shots on goal and no corners for the night.

The big offensive stars for the Dutch were Grace Held with four goals and Macy Schulz with a pair.

Also finding the back of the net for the Dutch were Ashley Hardman, Elle Howard, Hailey Kowzan and Camille Dixon with one goal apiece.

Assists for Pella were by Josie Lickteig, Elle Howard, Emma Yoder, Kowzan and Sarah Semini.

Ayden Ross was the MP keeper and she had 13 saves for the night.

The victory put the Dutch at 14-2 overall while Mount Pleasant finished play at 13-5.

The Dutch are riding a six-game win streak as they prepared for Norwalk for the right to advance to the State Tournament in Des Moines.
