Seven Marion County athletes were named to an all-district team that was announced recently.

In Class 3A, the Pella High Dutch and Knoxville Panthers each had a player honored on the 3A Central District.

Pella’s Gabe Thomas was named to the All-District first-team with a .353 batting average as a senior outfielder.

Knoxville sophomore Mike Hudson was named to the Central District second-team as an outfielder. Hudson finished the season with a .394 batting average.

The Class 2A Central District first-team had three players from Marion County honored. The first unit had Pella Christian senior Will Dembski as a pitcher with a 6-1 mark.

Also on the first-team in 2A were Grant Fouch and Quintin Berglund both of Pleasantville. Fouch was named as a second baseman with a .344 average at the plate, while Berglund was on the first-unit at third base.

Fouch and Berglund are both seniors for Pleasantville. Berglund finished with a .365 batting average in the WCAC.

The 2A Central District second-team consisted of Pella Christian catcher Lawson Bruxvoort and first baseman Devin Haveman.

Bruxvoort, a senior, hit at a .302 clip, while Haveman, a junior finished with a ..313 average at the plate.
