Centerville made two trips to Pella to face the Pella Christian Eagles in a Class 1A Regional Soccer match.

Weather cut the first night short Wednesday, May 29 so the contest was finished Thursday.

It didn’t seem to matter which day the contest was held, the Eagles were in control from the start in a contest they dominated and won 10-0.

The win put Coach Mike Buchheit’s squad at 9-8 overall as they move down the tournament trail.

Play ended at the conclusion of the first half with the score at 10-0.

Freshman Avey Amelse had a stellar offensive night with four goals. She scored the first three goals of the evening within the first 10 minutes of play.

Lindsay Breon had two tallies for PC while the Ford sisters, Julia and Mira added to the offensive goal fest by the Eagles as did Ellie Brower with one.

The 10th goal was an own goal by the Redettes on a cross by Breon.

Freshman Lydia Zylstra earned the win in goal.
