Indianola sweeps PC

Indianola displayed strong pitching, solid defense and some power hitting in topping the Pella Christin Eagles in a LHC twin bill June 24 at home.

The league leading Indians beat the Eagles 10-2 in game one and they completed the sweep with a 9-1 win in the nightcap.

Kate Kralik was the winning pitcher in both games with relief help in both.

In the opener the Indians had two runs in the first and third innings and three runs in the fourth and sixth. Indianola also hit two home runs in each game.

In game one the Indianola round-trippers were by Selia Becker and Brooke Tucker.

The opening game was tied 2-2 after two and a half innings, before Indianola turned it up a notch.

PC had six hits in the opener as Cheyanne Collins and Anna Bonnett each had two hits. Chloe Morgan and Cheyanne Collins each added one hit for the Eagles.

Collins took the loss in the circle for PC in game one.

In the nightcap Danielle Vande Voort took the loss.
