The losing skid hit four in a row for the Lady Dutch as the Indianola Indians swept both ends of a league doubleheader June 5 in Indianola.

Indianola blanked the Dutch 4-0 in game one and completed the sweep with a 4-1 win in game two.

Indianola pitchers limited Pella to four hits in the shutout and to just five in game two.

Maddie Parks took the loss in the 4-0 game. Parks gave up five runs on five hits. She struck out five and walked four.

Pella’s four hits were by Courtney Thompson, Parks, Ally Almond and Elly Cairney with a single apiece.

Kate Kralik earned the win for Indianola in the shutout and she came back to pitch three innings in game two and got the win as well.

Indianola had only three hits off of Parks but they made them count.

The Indians improved to 9-2 with the sweep while Pella slipped to 4-4.

The lone RBI of the night for the Dutch was collected by Emma Pleima with a double to score Cairney, who reached on a single in the fifth.

Other Pella hits were by Almond with a double, Parks and Brynnlin Kroymann with singles.
