Slightly over 80 entries have been received for the 29th Annual My Place Hotels 360 Knoxville Nationals presented by Great Southern Bank.
The event is slated for Aug. 1-3 at the Knoxville Raceway.
Several past winners of the event are slated to race in the event.
Defending and 5-time champion of the event Terry McCarl headlines the list of entries. He is slated to race in a qualifying effort Friday night.
Also on the docket to race Friday in the 360 Nationals are Brian Brown and Clint Garner, a pair of drivers who have one 360 Nationals crown under their belts.
Tony Stewart, 3-time NASCAR Track Champion is also entered to race Friday night.
Many of the top 360 Knoxville weekly competitors are listed for Friday night including Jon Agan, Brooke Tatnell, Matt Moro, Austin McCarl, McKenna Haase and Davey Heskin to name a few.
Gio Scelzi, the 410 Rookie of the Nationals last August is also scheduled to qualify Friday.
Not to be out done, but Thursday (Aug. 1) is slated to be just as talented a field as Friday.
Slated to race Thursday are Wayne Johnson, two-time champion of the 360 Nationals and Sammy Swindell who won the title in 2016.
A few of the other top drivers listed for qualifying Thursday are Travis Rilat, Sam Haftertepe, Jr., Aaron Reutzel, who is among the All-Star Circuit of Champion 2019 point leaders and Brady Bacon, who dazzled he Knoxville crowd at the first annual Corn Belt Nationals in early July.
Dominic Scelzi, the 2017 Knoxville 410 Nationals Rookie of the Year is also entered for a run Thursday.
Among the local favorites on tap for Thursday racing are Sawyer and Tasker Phillips, Jamie Ball, Ryan Leavitt, Carson McCarl, Joe Beaver, Calvin Landis, Justin Henderson and Mason Daniel to name a few.
Odds and Ends
Other multiple winners of the 360 Knoxville Nationals include Shane Stewart 5-time champion, Billy Alley, Garry Lee Maier, David Hesmer and Dennis Moore, Jr.
Jeff Swindell was a late entry into the 360 Nationals field for 2019. He won the 2002 360 Knoxville Nationals title. At press time he wasn’t sure which night he would be assigned to race.
Preliminary feature winners will pick up a check for $3,000 with the Saturday night champion picking up $15,000.
