Pella Christian dropped both ends of a Little Hawkeye Conference softball doubleheader to the Norwalk Warriors June 5 in Norwalk.

PC lost game one 4-1 and the nightcap 8-2.

In the opener Hailey Downe pitched a 3-hitter allowing just one run. The Eagle run crossed the plate in the fourth which cut the Norwalk lead down to 3-1.

Natalie Harrill opened the fourth with a single and she scored on a ball hit by Emri Agre.

Taking the tough luck loss in the circle for PC was Danielle Vande Voort.

Norwalk was limited to only four hits of their own in the opener. A PC error in the first helped the Warriors jump to a quick 2-0 lead.

In the nightcap Cheyanne Collins took the loss. Norwalk scored four runs in the third, one in the fourth and three more in the sixth.

The fourth was again the offensive frame for runs for the Eagles. PC pushed across two runs int he fourth as Chloe Morgan and Collins each scored.

Morgan opened with a single, Collins hit a double to score her. Collins scored on a ground out by Sierra Pleima.

Emma Gullion was the pitcher of record for Norwalk in game two.

The loss dropped Coach Karen Harrill’s team to 3-5 overall and to 0-2 in the league.
