Norwalk swept both ends of a Little Hawkeye Conference Softball Doubleheader against the Pella High Lady Dutch June 24 in games played in the Tulip City.

The Warriors were victorious 4-1, 4-2. The setbacks dropped the Dutch to 9-13 overall and to 2-11 in league play.

Norwalk improved to 17-7 with the two wins and to 11-2 in the LHC.

In the 4-1 loss, Maddie Parks gave up only four hits and two earned runs. She fanned four and walked two.

Pella banged out seven hits, but they had trouble bunching them together.

Brynnlin Kroymann and Parks each had two hits for Pella. Courtney Thompson, Elly Cairney and Emma Pleima each had one hit for Coach Teresa Thompson’s squad.

The RBI belonged to senior third baseman Elly Cairney.

In the 4-2 loss the Dutch trailed 4-0 after two innings before cutting the deficit in half with a pair of runs in the fifth.

Scoring in the fifth for Pella were Courtney Thompson and Parks. Alizabeth Van Dusseldorp drove in both runs with a single.

Pella had six hits in the game one each from Kroymann, Parks, Ally Almond, Maddy Rempe, Van Dusseldorp and Cairney.

Parks gave up four runs on nine hits. She struck out seven and walked just one.
