The season opened with a win at home over Pleasantville. Then it was an 11-4 loss to West Marshall before bouncing back to trip up Des Moines Christian 6-3.
In the 6-3 win over the Des Moines Christian Lions the Eagles saw Devin Haveman toed the rubber for the first three innings of play.
He gave way to Will Dembski, who finished the game working four innings and picking up the win.
The Eagles offensively scored four runs in the second inning and added solo tallies in the fifth and sixth for the victory.
PC had just two hits in the game, a triple by Dembski that drove in two runs and a single off the bat of Stone Turner.
The West Marshall Trojans took advantage of 11 walks issued by the PC pitching staff.
Lawson Bruxvoort took the loss on the hill working four innings. He walked seven and fanned six while not giving up a hit.
Matthew Bokhoven finished the game on the mound.
PC accumulated 10 hits in the game, but they left too many runners stranded on base.
Haveman led the hit parade with three hits in four trips to the plate.
Collecting one hit apiece for the Eagles were Cole Webster, Bruxvoort, Dembski, Bokhoven, Turner, Kyle Branderhorst and Jack Anderson.
The hit by Dembski was his first home run of the year, which drove in two runs in the first inning.

PC travels to play S.E. Warren Thursday, May 30 with JV action starting at 5:30 followed by the varsity.
Saturday the Eagles will play at the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Tournament starting at 10 a.m.
