A 3-1 win over the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont (EBF) Rockets at home Thursday night raised the Pella Christian record to 4-4 overall.

PC beat the EBF Netters 19-25, 25-17, 25-21, 25-21.

Sophomore Avey Amelse had a wonderful all-around performance for PC. She had seven kills, six digs, two blocks and went 30-of-32 at the service line with eight aces.

As a team, PC collected 13 aces, led by Amelse with eight.

Molly Bolt spearheaded the offense with 10 kills for the night. She also was strong serving, going 11-of-12 with two aces.

Sarah Gritters put down six kills and Lizzy Posthuma five and Emma Dunsbergen four.

Anna Van Zee, the libero, was all over the court defensively as she picked up 25 digs. Next best were Amelse and Bolt each with six and Posthuma with five.

Dunsbergen was a force at the net with eight big blocks followed by Bolt with three.

Odds and Ends

The Eagles will face Indianola at home Sept. 17 in a league match starting at 7:15 p.m.
