The Pella High Lady Dutch outhit the Oskaloosa Indians 9-6 in a Little Hawkeye Conference outing Thursday, June 12 in Oskaloosa.

Despite that fact, it was the Indians who came out on top 11-2 over the Lady Dutch. Oskaloosa had six hits but they were aided by Dutch errors and the Indians received seven walks.

Hayle Hacker was ruled the winning pitcher for Oskaloosa after working 3.2 innings in the circle.

Pella had nine hits in the game.

The game was tied 1-1 before the Indians scored five runs in the third and added our in the fourth for the big win.

Taking the pitching defeat for the Dutch was Maddie Parks, who worked three innings.

The biggest hit of the night belonged to Pella’s third baseman, Elly Cairney. The senior hit a home run to highlight Pella’s nine hit attack.

Collecting two hits each for Pella were Parks, Ally Almond an Cairney.

The Dutch fell to 6-7 with the loss and to 1-5 in the LHC.
