The Indians beat the Dutch 5-4 June 20 in Pella.

Indianola snapped a 4-4 tie with a run in the sixth for the win. The Indians originally broke on top 4-1 entering the bottom of the fifth, but the Dutch had plenty of fight in them as they clawed back to tie the game at 4-4.

Taking the loss on the mound for Pella was freshman relief pitcher Jason Knox, who worked 2.2 innings and gave up two hits and one earned run.

River Baker pitched the first 4.1 innings for the Dutch and was nicked for four runs on five hits.

Pella collected five hits in the game, two of them were by Gabe Thomas, who had one RBI.

Nick Grandia, Ryan Mace, Drew Hillman, Knox and Tanner Dunsbergen rounded out the Pella offense with one hit apiece.

Pella fell to 6-13 with the loss and to 3-8 in the league.
