Post season sites have been established for the varsity softball teams in the state.

Staring in Class 1A, the Melcher-Dallas Saints and the Twin Cedars Sabers each have first round byes in Region 4.

the M-D Saints will open tournament play July 10 at home with a 7 p.m. game against the winner of a first round contest between Moravia and Moulton-Udell slated for July 8.

Twin Cedars will open at home July 10 at 7 p.m. against the first round winner of a game between Baxter and Lamoni also set for July 8.

If TC and M-D would win games on July 10 they would face off July 12 at 7 p.m. at Twin Cedars.

In Class 2A, the Pleasantville Trojans and Pella Christian Eagles are both in Region 2.

The PC Eagles open Regional action July 8 at home at 7 p.m. against Panorama. The winner gets Pleasantville in round two July 10 at 7 p.m. in Pleasantville.

In Class 4A, the Knoxville Panthers open Regional Tournament play at home July 11 at 7 p.m. against Gilbert. The winner takes on the Carlisle Wildcats July 13 in Carlisle at 7 p.m. Carlisle is the top ranked team in Class 4A with a 26-3 mark entering July.

Pella, also in 4A, will open Regional action July 11 at 7 p.m. against the Winterset Huskies in Winterset.
