A solid 76-57 win over the Grinnell Tigers at home Monday, Jan. 27 made it 10 wins in a row for the Pella High Little Dutch.

Pella was in cruise control early on in this one. The Dutch led 16-10 at the end of the first quarter and put the game nearly out of reach at halftime with a 45-19 advantage.

Pella entered the contest ranked No. 5 by the Associated Press in Class 3A.

Coach Derek Schulte’s squad put three players in double digits led by Logan Shetterly with 18 points. Grant Nelson popped in 13 and Karl Miller tossed in 10.

Parker Elder and John Oltman both had eight points while Treyton Sturgeon and Josh Warner each finished with seven points.

Pella hit 10-of-31 3-point field goal attempts.

It wasn’t a strong night at the foul line as Pella was just 6-of-11.

Sturgeon and Warren Page each had five rebounds to top the charts. Shetterly had four assists and three steals while Nelson finished with five assists.

Grinnell slipped to 5-8 overall with the loss.

Pella improved to 12-2 overall and 6-2 in the Little Hawkeye Conference.
